If like me you didn't get to hear Roy's post fight comments, this is what he had to say:

    - Roy Jones

I really felt sorry for him watching him getting floored like that (again), and his saddened face whilst Green and his team celebrated. Someone of Roy's calibre and all that he has achieved in his past, really shouldn't be getting knocked out like this time and time again.

You can't help but want him to have at least one more goodbye fight, to end his glittering career on a nice win. But as Green demonstrated, in this sport no matter who you face, you're always one punch away from losing again.

Credit to Green though, he was given next to no chance and he did his job. Here's the short fight if you wanna see it once more, and if you feel you can stomach the silly commentators......"you beat a legend, you become a legend" <----- :fy

Took it like a CHAMP! You win some you lose some, Itiswhatitis!, Good stuff Roy.
But, I have no doubt we will see him in ring again I'd bet he ask's Green for a rematch.

    I think there'll be a rematch.

Roy will convince himself it was lucky and he got caught cold.

Roy's a good bloke. I don't know why so many people disliked him in his prime. I remember alot of people hating him, not just for the opponents he fought, but as a person. Anyway, he should've taken a page outa Lennox's book and retired after Tarver 1. It was clear he lost a touch, and really he had nothing else to prove after that. But unfortunately, he like so many of the greats before didn't know when to quit and he received some knocks he shouldn not have taken. i hope he can retire now and doesn't even contemplate fighting Anderson Silva.

A rematch is Roy's only chance at redemption, or another meaningful fight for that matter. He can't just pretend this didn't happen and fight someone else..and Hopkins can't prove anything by fighting him now..So it's rematch or retire.

i got up at 4:00 a.m. this morning just to watch the fight and it didn't start until 6.....then Roy got TKO'ed in the first......horrible horrible day i've had so far.

Jones doesn't have what it takes to be facing the likes of Danny Green or anyone like that, he needs to retire. But I would not be surprised if he has one more match. I really hope he doesn't but if he does i'll still be supporting Roy Jones...GO JONES!!!

Jones was INSANE to take on a decent - and LARGER - fighter, when he had the big Hopkins rematch coming. He should have taken on a nobody in a tuneup like Hopkins did.

At least Roy is entertaining the idea of retiring and is seriously acknowledging his mortality. Unlike after his KO loss to Tarver (the 2nd one!) when he was STILL mouthing off about being the greatest boxer on the planet. He WAS, but not anymore.

These KO's are black spots on his overall career. He needs to stop now, before he gets' KTFO by someone like Butterbean in a barn somewhere or on Friday Night Fights.

They're not black spots. Is SRR penalized for losing a lot after he came back? Of course not. RJJ is a legend, and rightly so.

Roy's the fighter that got me interested in the sport, and I'm sure I'm not the only kid he had that effect on.

On behalf on all your fans...it's time to hang 'em up, champ. We don't want to see you keep going through this.

Roy is taking the loss in class, although after some time he will reevaluate and probably come back and have a rematch.
