Roy Jones Junior Post Fight Interviews - A Comparison

I have no hatred for Roy Jones. I just call things in boxing as I see them. Roy Jones has a Glass Jaw. This is irrefutable.

He was a pretty good puncher and he beat some quality contenders of the division. He was not a bad fighter, at the time Roy fought him.

If you are going to at someone in Jones resume go no further than Otis Grant, this guy was an actual NYC police officer. Or laugh at Glen Kelly, that guy sucks big time.

 

Kelly was a sanitation worker.

Jones just did not take any risks that is my huge issue with him.

The Toney win was legit and a very good win. Hopkins while not 'Prime' was also a very good win just a very boring fight.

Other than that his resume pretty much is mediocre.

 

The worst was Otis Grant. I remember seeing that fight and wondering, why in the hell is Jones fighting this guy? That guy didn't even know how to box. Then they said he was a police officer :rofl and it all made since.

I didn't know Kelly was a sanitation worker, that explains how terrible he was. I give that fight a slide though, simply because it was a doubleheader where B-Hop fought some scrub too on the same day. Not sure if it was a 3rd fight with Allen (whatever his last name was) or that horrible French guy, that was probably the worst prizefighter I have ever seen. That was a terrible night of boxing, at least Jones put on a show against a out matched opponent.
