Roy cares about the fans. He refused to accept any money he knew how bad it would be.

by the sounds of it, he overestimated how big the fight would be. i could of told him the fight wouldn't sell that well because you're in trouble if boxing fans aren't interested in this sort of fight, if they're not interested then you can kiss goodbye the casual fans. it seems to be the worst financial decision a past great could make. floyd should just retire now. he's shot, and he's been made a mockery inside the ring aswell as outside the ring now.

Sometimes casinos pay money up front to stage a fight they think will be big, or one of the tv networks like HBO pay a liscense fee to the promoter to show the bout. But as far as I know this was an independent ppv as anyone with a brain in boxing knew there was no interest in it since Jones L 1 Green a few months back so they avoided it. So the only revenue will be what they generated themselves from ppv sales, ticket sales and any overseas tv companies showing it.

I doubt it. Put either against a known British or German (at least Germany based) fighter and it'd do well but two yanks isn't going to attract the average person who turns up to a Hatton fight.
