Yeah Roy was immense over the two bouts.

I thought Kellerman was way out of order when he asked Cotto about his dad before the bout, especially as it didn't look too long before the bout. It didn't seem to effect Cotto's performance...but that conversation could have went either way in terms of Cotto's performance.

 

You really notice how bad George Foreman and Lennox were after hearing Roy again.

 

First time ive heard him as a commentator and he speaks alot of sense :goodbetter than the other fools

But after tonight, HBO would be really dumb if they don't hire him for real, he did an excellent job.

they tested roy a bunch of times to see if he was "with it" ...he always was.

they never tested lennox like that.

Only RJ could have pulled that Tie off tonight (lol), and his commentary was spot on too. Was anyone else looking to see if RJ sounded punch drunk tonight on the mic?

 

It was the Roy of old. Great performance. I was surprised how fluid his commentary was after being suffering some very bad defeats. Give him a regular slot and dump Steward. He's more energetic and brings conviction to his commentary. Manny goes as the wind blows.
