Interesting what he said about the jab, hitting both sides...I never thought of that...i just go for the head...
Man, I wanted him to beat Calzaghe. If he fights Hopkins, I hope he can find a way to win, preferably by stoppage. I don't know whether he will win this fight, because I haven't been keeping track as much as I would usually, but I'm rooting for him. Living legend who always had me in awe of his skills.
He still thinks he can tee off with that left hook/uppercut. He used to be able to telegraph is and was so fast noone could stop it. Now he is too slow to pull it off the same. If he used his handspeed correctly he could still be near the top of the division. But he is too old to change his ways.
Same I love Hopkins. But seeing Jones give a great showing one last time and give Hopkins a clinic. His output is still higher than hopkins'. If he can keep Hopkins from being able to come in with his awkward overhand right. Best way to do this is by using his great uppercut he hasn't pulled out well in awhile. Either way as long as it is a competative fight then I'm happy.
if he was this personable, cool, friendly, and excited to fight and work with the media he'd be so much bigger than he is now.
I'm surprised he's not sick of boxing, mom's friend went to school with him. And she said even in Elementary School he had no free time since he was always training
