Im sick of watching you get hit with any type for punches, you have family and fans man, don't throw away your greatness, if u haven't already.
I'm a fan of Roy but it's time he retire. He doesn't have it anymore. Anyone who saw the fight will see he literally has nothing left. If he wants to fight because he needs the money I'm sure he can beat Pavlik, Lacy, and people like this, but he wont be on the elite level ever again. His legs are gone, and his handspeed and reflexes are fading with every fight.
Both him and Hopkins need to hang them up I'm sick of seeing them fight. I believe if Hopkins isn't shot now he'll be in 1 or 2 fights no way I see him moving up to heavyweight now no way.
I just wish he threw more. When he landed those lead right hands like he used to he started gaining momentum and the dodges and counters were there, until he once again faded and covered up on the defensive like he has in recent years. I guess that's a more psychological sign of aging.
He is a shot fighter. No killer instinct. Cannot pull the trigger any more. Hopkins was tired and there to be hit. But Roy just looked and looked and looked. Screaming at the tv for him to do SoMETHING!!! Anything! He just looked to be surviving. Hopkins won because Jones lost. He just simply did nothing. Ironically, did not seem to be any advice in his corner, no urgency to turn it up. Funny, there was no punch stats shown between rounds. Good, because the numbers would have been embarrassing.
