I, personally, think Roy is making the whole thing up. Camp Green said that Roy wore his own gloves in the fight. Does it really sound plausible that they would offer Roy used gloves?

 

Yeah Roy was given old used gloves...that just happened to match the rest of his outfit.An odd combo of colors for gloves mind you(it's not as if he was handed standard red).

Roy should give up on this. THis just gives more attention to this loss where no one will ever forget it then.

 

My favorite RJJ promotion was for Lacy. It was the epitome of farce promotions. Roy in a GD pirate uniform as Captain Hook "He's gonna bring his hook, I'm gonna bring my hook and we gonna have a hook night."

Roy's still angling for the Hopkins fight, apparently offering hops the first 3 million of revenues. He's turning a lot of fans off by his antics and he'd be better served to fight some other fringe guy at lhw and then enforce the rematch clause with Green. If there was a real issue about the hand wraps, he should've walked out or at least made a stink before the fight rather than weeks after.

 

it looks like Roy has really no plans for retirement. Whatever do what u think u gotta do, i'll be rooting for you still.

 

I can see why he would file protest, should all of this be true.

The fact is that Danny has worn that same wrap and the brown material that secures the wrap/glove against many if not all of his opponents. He wore the same thing against Mundine. Danny has also used that same wrap and material to hold the wrap in place against his last fight agaisnt Julio Cesar Dominguez, this fight was held in AMERICA. It was also inspected and passed by the boxing regulatory body in America.

Green doesnt seem to be hiding this fact or even aware of it. Both the bodies regulating boxing in America and Australia also seems to have passed it without much issues.

Everything indicates that Roy Jones Jr just cant accept his loss. He needs to move on now.

Usually when jones does this he expects you to throw a right then he counters and makes you look stupid when his flashy athletic ploys go his style goes with it.
