Roy Jones really gonna go out like that..?

Jones is a classic example of a fighter that didn't walk away soon enough....I fear for jones health if he decides to fight on....

I still think he will push for the hopkins fight, but won't get it...

 

Hopefully but I can see him having one more fight. Roy loves the sport and loves entertaining his fans. Really though I hope this was his last, I can't stand to see Roy Jones get knocked out again, I don't know if i could take it.

I love you Roy, do what you think is best for yourself.

 

hopkins by stoppage if it happens. but for roy i hope it doesnt happen. if he couldnt avoid green. then how can he get away from hopkins.

The punch that knocked him down looked more like a wrist to the temple. Maybe behind the ear, hard to tell. Either way he should have retired long ago.

 

Yes. I know it's sad, but it is what it is. I really can't see him carry on after that 1st round stoppage. And Roy has a bright retirement to look forward too, no need to pity the man. He's certainly not broke, he's healthy and only 40 years old. He can spend all his time breeding dogs now. And this was surely not the last we've heard from him - look out for him to go back to HBO to commentate.

 

I hope he DOES get it. That is a perfect fight to go out on, win or lose.

 

He should call out Michalczewski before hanging gloves completely

I can see him wanting the rematch, and in short order. Roy is not gonna go down like that, too much pride. He clearly could have done better in the fight, and who knows what would happen in a rematch. He may try and get it very soon in order to keep the Hopkins fight on the table for the finale.

If he retires, he will retire proudly, and as an ATG. We love you Roy!

 

He should hang'em up, it's very simple.

 

Jones needs to "go out like that". If he tries to go out any other way, he'll be risking his health, God forbid it has already been damaged.

Take a look at the Tarver rubbermatch and tell me he would fight confidently against Green in a rematch :rofl
