I agree that its probably his best.

But also, Woods, Toney, Hopkins and Hill all have done something before and after their losses to RJJ.

HOLY **** i forgot all about that.

Replace my list with Hill instead of Woods.

    Ruiz
    Hill
    Hopkins
    Griffin
    Toney

That's why it doesn't matter. No one remembers the first fight after that KO.

A win is a win. Yeah, it wasn't pretty, but, I thought Jones edged him. All of the judges had it in favor of Jones, 117-111, 116-112 twice. I was thinking about Woods, but, Tarver beat him. U could perhaps put Ruiz in there, but, he sucks. Yet, beating a guy 30 pounds more than u is quite impressive to a lot of people.

I think Woods is a very underrated win.

Granted, Clinton had done nothing to earn a shot at Jones, nor anything of note prior to the bout, but working hard to gain a title shot and make four successful defences against good opposition - including a guy who brutally KO'd Jones was very good taking into account the savage beating he received on the night until his corner rescued him.

Mere fact that it was the first time in over 100 years that a MW won a heavyweight title.. Yes Ill put Ruiz over Toney.

Tarver was not robbed. Clean victory for Jones 8-4.

I may actually put Thulane Malinga up there instead of Tarver. That's a very underrated performance against a top-tier fighter. Also, Reggie Johnson is another Jones masterpiece against a highly respected opponent.

I also agree. A lot of people were over critical of that scoring simply because up to then Jones seldom lost rounds much less had a close fight. The highlight of that fight was what Jones did wrong more so than what he still did right.
