I can see your point of view and agree with you to some extent, however I feel that the fight wasn't "big enough" at that time. They want to capture every single last boxing fan, MMA fan, general sports fan and casual observer and to do that the bubble needed to get bigger. Once Mayweather outshines Cotto and Pacuqiao TKO's featherfisted Bradley (sorry Bradley) they may think its time.

And on Pacquiao falling badley in the next two years... The only thing that may save that from happening is if he actually stays sexually abstinent during camp as I once heard Freddie Roach says he does. It does more than you might imagine....

    gotta disagree.

i think the prime time for pac and floyd to fight has passed. people will still watch it and it will break ppv records, but they are both active now for the money it seems.

pac has broken into politics and his style isnt conducive to longevity, while floyd keeps retiring - unretiring...hes doing it for the money and because he doesnt know what else to do.

Agreed, last time I checked Mayweater was making 30+ million for a fight...
Don't sound like he needs anything or anyone.

Besides that the fight would be horrible to watch.
Mayweather would bully Manny all night long.

It's a fight boxing (and they) would benefit from, greatly. But, neither guy's legacy depends on it, at this point. Both are living legends in the sport, and fighting past their primes.

Money is a drug fellas, when you got 50 million somehow you'll "need" more. Only a few select wealthy indiviuals are able to control their desires. 50 million doesn't seem like a lot when you want more. They may have been in there prime a few years ago but they don't care about us they boxing fans, they care about the mass market, broad appeal. Thats why they've had this on the slow cooker and thats why the fight has almost "been made" a few times so the public can keep talking about it. It's just a show!

It's Floyd's way of saying **** Bob Arum & Pacquiao. Both of their legacies are already written in stone.
(that & saying PAC is hulking up, w/o actually saying it)

I'd fight a wood chipper for the type of scratch they are making...
Seriously doubt Floyd is "Scared" of Manny.

This entire saga has more to do with upper hand than anything else.
It's Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao's handlers... Manny just does his job.

Also, in recent interviews I've heard Floyd say "My health is a concern for me" because of his family, his life, etc. Then on 24/7 he says "I'm ready to die in the ring". So you can't pay too much attention to what Floyd Mayweather says.

If Manny was anxious to make this fight, he would be making 40 million today...not 25 million a month from now.
