Jones is delusional. There are probably Welterweights that could shatter his fragile Glass Jaw. If he continues to fight he will get seriously hurt.

The Hopkins and Jones rematch will probably still happen because it's the only big payday that both of them can find at the moment - that is unless Hopkins decides to take on Dawson - with HBO footing the bill.

Are you serious? stopped it sooner? So now if you get knocked down or hurt at all the fight should be stopped? I'm all for protecting the fighter but thats coddling the fighter. If this were fighters with losing records it might make sense but when you are talking about fighters at this level with this much experience, you want to give them every chance to fight back before you stop it.

It doesn't look like from the video that the ref was giving Roy Jones every chance to fight back. This isn't like when Mike Tyson got knocked out by Buster Douglas. It was clear from the look in Tysons eyes that he was knocked out cold and didn't know where he was. Roy Jones wasn't out on his feet, he was just unable to regain his legs. Stunned is not the same as hurt, and boxers get stunned all the time and come back to win. When you are talking about fighters at this weight most of them expect to be stunned during a fight, but if we stopped the fight every time a boxer got stunned, yes it will protect fighters but it wont make for exciting fights, there is a tradeoff.
