:patsch 8 years 95-03 no top fighters even near their primes ? :-( WTF do you call Montell Griffin the unbeaten World Champ who actually owns 2 wins over James Toney and one over RJJ and Roy made him his ***** in the rematch KOing him violently in exactly 1 round,Virgil Hill agian a long time Light Heavyweight Champ and Roy startched him with a single body shot and Hill went on to win 2 Cruiserweight titles after this,Reggie Johnson 2 divison and current Champ at the time Roy tooled him,Eric Harding who had just beat Griffin and Antonio Tarver,Clinton Woods who went on to accomplish alot after Roy beat him,Tarver whos a 4 time Champion and John Ruiz who was top 5 in the Heavyweight divison and a Champion. So you counted zero I counted 7 :deal

What are you smoking DM leftovers ? lets compare who they have both fought.

Montell Griffin - Fought him 2 years after RJJ-Griffin 2.
Richard Hall - DM took him on a year after Jones raped him and DM went life and death TWICE.
Virgin Hill - Ok you got one RJJ fought Hill directly after DM did and beat him a hell of alot more impressivly.
Julio Gonzalez - DM fought Julio 2 years after Jones beat him easily while DM lost in his own ****ing country :rofl
Derrick Harmon - DM fought Harmon 2 years after RJJ did.

Thankyou for leaving yourself open for my schooling of the day.

I watched RJJ/Glen Johnson over the weekend.

Re-watching this fight brought it home that Johnson's performance showed some of the grittiest mental toughness of the last few years. Johnson was a guy who had been through the ringer at that point, basically a journeyman who had suffered through years of tough decisions and short paydays, finally to break through and win a title from Clinton Woods.

Johnson coming out in the first 30 seconds and basically assaulting Jones was his way of saying, "I will not be denied." Jones was completely taken aback and put on the defensive from the start, Johnson showed brilliance in imposing himself early and playing on doubts that Jones may have had coming off of the Tarver fight.

Steward commented that Johnson was being "amateurish," completely missing the point of his tactic.

Johnson's resolve only increased through the middle rounds, leading the culminating brutal knockout.

Great performance from a deserving guy who's good for the sport.
