coming from the man himself. imo the best boxing commentator out there. This was on FnF last week just before the Calzaghe - Hopkins fight

Brian Kenny: There is a gap in the level of competition. Now Mikkel Kessler, I hear he's world class and will be a champion before all is said and done again. He's a great fighter. But, compare the last couple of fighters Calzaghe has fought. Peter Manfredo, Sakio Bika, and Jeff Lacy. Bernard Hopkins has gone up against Winky Wright, Antonio Tarver, and Jermain Taylor twice. Can that gap be bridged? Thats a gap in talent that each guy's been fighting.

Roy Jones Jr.: Well its somewhat of a gap but not really that big of a gap because Mikkel Kessler was a undefeated fighter, uuhm, you know, the gap for Jeff Lacy, he really wiped Jeff Lacy out. Jeff Lacy was a up and coming guy that we thought was gonna be the next coming. And he walked through him. So lets not make it a bigger bridge than it is. Its not that big of a bridge.

Brian Kenny: You don't think so?

Roy Jones Jr.: No, not at all.

Brian Kenny: Even with Hops and Antonio Tarver? You've been in with those guys.

Roy Jones Jr.: If you seen Antonio Tarver last weeked, he's not that impressive either. Its just that that was a really bad Roy Jones that was in there against Tarver. Hopkins and Tarver both should be very glad that Roy Jones presented them with that opportunity. So, thats not really a big bridge, trust me.
