    Of ****, you're full.

    Joe's got more will
    He cracks Roy's skull.
    Roy's brain goes dull.

    This fight's a cull.
    The count is full.
    Joe's Champion still !

    WTF ?

    Ali or Floyd snr ?

    That's a pretty wide range.

That's like saying you'd like to bang Angelina Jolie or Roseanne Barr !

Let me make this clear nuthuggers:

Joe Louis who I have as my #1 Heavyweight of all time would shatter Roy Jones Jr's Glass Jaw everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

To even compare or mention a legit ATG like Joe Louis who fought everyone, did not duck anyone, and did not make ridiculous demands etc. to a cherry picking Glass Jawed joke like Jones is disrespectful as it gets.

    :hi:

    Now that is funny!

I dont think Roy has ever fought someone with 50% of the skills Louis had!

Whats the next thread...........Roy can beat Sugar Ray? LOL

Granted, Floyd Snr is pretty bad and no good for anything beyond a borderline sensible couplet, but Ali wasn't exactly a gifted poet himself.

Jolie :: hotness is not Ali :: Poetry

That said, you've done a much finer job than warrants a Predator reference.

Incidentally, Conn is listed as 174 for the Louis fight. Stranger things have happened. I'd still put my $50 on Louis, but Roy's a live underdog.

My point was not the greatness of Ali's poetry (though he wasn't bad, off the cuff).

Rather, it was the enormous chasm between Ali and Floyd snr.

Regarding Roy/Joe, I'm a huge fan of Roy and rate him as the greatest boxer since Duran. And he could conceivably pull it off on a given night.

But if we're talking both men at prime and each man bringing his A-game, Roy is going down.

There are one or two top twenty ATG heavyweights that I would favour Roy over in a head-to-head.

But Joe Louis isn't one of them.

    Not by a long shot.

    Roses are red.
    Violets are blue.

    Some poems rhyme,
    but yours doesn't.

    Roy's got good speed
    He's got good skills.

    But Joe's too much
    and Roy he kills !

it has nothing to do with an old timr...it has to do with you making stupid thread with one sentence with nothing to explain why you said that

That's actually very possible. Considering they would meet at 160. That version of Leonard had slowed down and would be the smaller man.

Or if your talking about Robinson it's also very possible. He was past his prime at 160 also. Would've been one hell of a fight.
