    Why do you find that funny?

    No one wants to see Roy fight this far past his prime and take unnecessary punishment. If there was one fighter I never wanted to see this happen to, it was Roy Jones Jr.

    The guy he will be fighting is not a heavy puncher at all but that doesnt mean much cause roy took some real damage in his career and it will work against him

    I dont get how he could be.

    Steller career where he was his own promoter.
    Mildly sucessful rap career.
    TV/Movie appearances.

    Color commentator for HBO.
    Doesnt come across as a massive partier or addict or anything like that.

    How could he be broke?

    It was credibly reported a couple of months back that he owes the IRS $3.5 million. If given the choice of fighting a couple of bums or doing time for tax evasion, it's an easy choice.

    Somebody should have stopped him from spending.

    Great, another ATG boxer that will soon to be unable to put together a coherent sentence.

    Roy, hang 'em up brother. You were great, but the show is over. Time to move on.

    I agree with some of the other sentiments in this thread: Somebody needs to protect Roy from himself. This is insanity.

    I think he might be annoyed at people saying hopkins is higher than him in the ATG list now. Just my opinion.
