I agree. Mikkel lacks in the variety department. 1-2, occasional (underused) uppercut. He has thrown a couple nice left hooks lately against lower class guys, I'm not sure how comfortable he is throwing it against top tier opponents. I think he might revert back to what he's comfortable with.
Exhibit mother****ing A. Lets count how many 1,2s are thrown in just 3 rounds vs any left hooks. Did any left hooks land???? Calzaghe slipped two of those awkward bullshits easily 2:17- 2:20. [YT]r8tkY7FsNkI[/YT]
I appreciate it, nobody is undermining your guy. I mean but it is reality we live everyday and that is what I see. The 1,2 gets the damn job done. If he had a left hook to come after his right hand then he would be still undefeated. Calzaghe was for sure open for it. ****, Calzaghe based his whole counter punching off of when Kessler threw the right b/c he knew nothing else was coming afterwards thats when he took control.
Well said. Kessler certainly has the shot in him, although it is sorely underused. Very few guys around here have the integrity to make objective calls - TFFP is one of those guys. ^ Spot on.
Of course Roy could win. Look, he had Calzaghe on the floor and Joe admitted he was shook up there. The same or more could happen against Kessler. But unless the trial and all the trouble between Kessler and his manager and promoter and the low frequency of fighting have gotten to Kessler, then I will have to go with Kessler in this one.
