Roy Jones: Toney would have beaten Klitscho at HW.

I used to hate on Wlad Klitschko, but after he fought David Haye and beat him easily, I think he's a great fighter.

He does have size, but he has great defense, footwork, control of distance, and he typically knocks his man out.

He does the best he can with the gifts he has.

Vitali is a great fighter. It's hard to argue with that. The guy comes to fight.

I think they are too big and too strong for Toney. Toney's style is all wrong for both Klitschkos would outbox him on the outside.

Wlad would pick him apart. Vitali would engage more, but styles make fights.

 

Both Wladimir and Vitali would have spanked Toney. There's a reason the Buffet King turned down a career high payday and a free title shot against Vitali back in 2005 when he was caught roiding up and ended up banned by the WBA.

 

What a sad old fool trying to convey that he'd beat the Klits. Toney would have been lucky to win a single round against either brother.

 

Funny, for a short while Vitali was Roy's mandatory for the WBA belt. Why didn't Glass Jaw Roy just fight Vitali and show us all how easy it was to beat him?

 

Toney would have gotten brutalized on the outside. Simply too small.

It would have been ugly.

Brittle chined Haye stood in the pocket with Wlad for 12 whole rounds and came out with barely a scratch.

Toney would have Wlad confused and swatting at thin air while nailing him with hard lead rights under his out stretched lazy jab. Toney could crak and had enough power to shatter Wlads glass jaw.

Just look at Wlad running in fear of Peter after being knocked down in sections repeatedly and look at Toney make a fool of peter with his back to the ropes.

 

atsch haye is harder to hit than stationary fat man two tonne toney, who only moved from the hips and was a sitting duck for anyone with skill at heavyweight. and toney was hardly going to roll in like tyson he would try and counter with his arms too short to hit the klits. toney at hw was no threat lol. vitali would beat toney by tko no doubt.

 

Toney struggled and lost to Peter. Both K brothers destroyed Peter. Toney wouldn't have had a chance against either K brother.

 

This is one of the single stupidest comments I can remember seeing on ESB, and there've been some doozies. Show me a video clip of Vitali instigating a hug. I'm all eyes!

 

Toney was offered $1.6m for a title fight vs. Wlad and Toney DECLINED.

 

Toney beat Peters first time out on most people's scorecards. And did it with out rolling around on his hand and kness lookin for his marbles.

Toney had much better defense than Haye and could slip and counter better than any HW of recent years.

He clownd Holyfield and stopped him without breaking a sweat. That James Toney could well of exposed Wlad for the one dimensional robot he is.

Id favour Vitali to beat Toney but Wlad is anybodys guess.

 

Wlad would beat Toney like a red-headed stepchild.
