If Roy would have defended his title against Vitali he would have been crushed. Wlad would have dropped him worse than Johnson. End of that story.

Toney was badly rocked against Sam Peter. Wlad, who hits harder and is a better boxer than Peter, would have knocked Toney out. That would have been Toneys first stoppage loss. Vitali would have beat the sh*t out of him and most likely won a wide UD.

It is not Vitali and Vlad's height that makes them so good, it's their skills, dedication to staying in shape, no drugs, or alcohol, etc. Vlad easily beat the hell out of Wach, who is 6 feet 8 inches tall, 250 lbs. and was caught on steroids after the fight. Wach would knock Wilder out cold. Vlad knocked Thompson out two times, yet Wilder refuses to fight him, along with so many other fighters who are ranked.

 

Peter made Toney what he is today... imagine what Wlads power would have done.

 

Total drivel from Jones Jr. No way would have Toney beat either Klitschko. He was too heavy and immobile at heavy and would be picked off from range in a clear one sided decision. Wlad may have even been able to stop him.

Saying all they have is height and size shows a real misunderstanding and a lack of knowledge which I would not expect from Roy. It's like saying Jones Jr didn't have any skills all he had was speed and power. A fighter should fight to his strengths and minimise his weaknesses and fight in a manner according to what is optimum. People said similar things about Lewis saying all he had was a jab and a right hand and nothing else.

 

Is Roy trying to get toney to fight them by dropping these ego boosting words and get him brain damaged?

 

At his best (218 pounds), James Toney would have presented a lot of problems for the Klits, in particular Vitali.There is a reason the Klits never wanted to fight Toney back then, referring back to the great Emmanuel Steward.
