    he fought his second griffin fight on a thurs night as well. it's probably smart since this is a small ppv fight during football season.

    will the fight be at LHW or Cruiser? I looked up Danny Santiago and after the Tarver fight, he's had his next two bouts above 175

    i believe the fight will be at crusier. it's possible vassily jirov will be on the undercard. if jones and jirov win there's talk of them fighting next year in russia.

    He fought Tarver and Erdei a few years back, and he was on the cruiserweight Contender.

    I think he had a lot of trouble with the weight or something.

    wikipedia says Santiago was one of the early cuts from Contender Season 3 . which was Super Middle (with Bika who won it, Soliman, Cordington)

    I vaugely remember him having a lot of trouble making 168 .. and of course after Season 3 is when he got the LHW fight vs Tarver

    Yeah, he didn't come close to making weight, and was cut before the fights started. Sorry I got the season wrong.
