Roy Jones vs Beibut Shumenov

    I think this would be a great fight for Roy Jones to ride off into the sunset with. Beibut is slow, pushes his punches, completely telegraphic and seemingly has no real redeeming virtue other than his toughness and the fact he actually has a belt.

    It would be a good payday for Beibut, and a chance for Roy to retire with a win, similar to his Lacy fight.

    Jesus Christ lets not let this fight happen. I'm a big Roy Jones fan but this is way way too much, he doesn't deserve the title shot. Give it to Bernard if you want to give it to an old man.

    No just let Roy retire with his health and let him announce somewhere HBO should replace one of those ***s with Roy and give him the secound chance he deserves. Back in 06 Roy still had that 50th win he wanted to get well he has 54 now. Roy isnt a contender he cant really avenge any of his losses or its not likely atleast so what is there to fight for ? Roy is still an intelligent man so put that to some good use and find something besides prize fighting.

    Shumenov is all hype got beat then got a real gift why this guy has a title is beyond me.

    RJ showed me he still has maybe 40% of his physical gifts left. His hands are fast when he chooses to let them go.

    His mental part however, is maybe 20-30%. He's afraid to let them go because he doesn't want to get caught. However, against the slow and predictable Beibut, he'll feel like the old Roy again.

    Not really like Lacy at all, actually. Far heavier hands, for one thing - and actually throws both. He's good enough to knock out Roy.
