Good matchup or not? Jones 5-5 his last 10 fights. Hopkins is 4-3 his last 7 fights. Could be a good fight since Hopkins hasn't had a ko in a long time. My pick is Hopkins by points or a late KO.

I am not excited about this fight. Both guys should retire pretty soon. I like them both, although I respect Hopkins as a fighter more. He took on the tougher opponents and beat the better fighters in my mind. Jones beat Toney and Hill and Hopkins. Hill was older and Hopkins was young at the time, but he still beat them. But Hopkins had the defenses and wins against Tito,Tarver,Pavlik,Wright- and he shut them out. Impressive.

RJJ 4me is the best in the past 15 years!!! But its hard to watch when he gets KOd by such fighter as Green

I hope that Roy will soon retire , i will be really happy that after BHop fight, no matter the result

BHop is an exemplary figure and i respect him very much

To be honest i dont want tha tfight to happen it will show nothing noone of those two need anything to prove

RJJ style , speed advantage is now past melody, his style causes rapid lost of form

BHop is different he now isnt as far from prime as RJJ

So i thin Bhop will make his revange

This will be another episode of 'Shattered Glass'. Jones has no Chin and no heart. BHop is going to brutally KO him.

Horrible matchup. Jones is a ghost of what he used to be.

I actually want to see this fight and think it might turn out to be better than expected.
Hopkins is a great fighter who still seems to be at the top of his game but I cant recall him beating a fast 2 handed fighter his own size, most of his big wins have been against fighters from lower divisions, as a LHW he lost his debut (I agree it was a long time ago and not really relevent, but said anyway), The only world class LHW I can recall him beating was Tarver over 3 years ago, who is a bit slow and had already been beaten 3 times and outboxed before, so his form in the division isnt that great either, whilst Jones hasnt beaten a legit LHW in a while either and has dipped in form, he has beaten some good fighters from this division, and Jones is as big as Hopkins and still fast.
I wouldnt be at all surprised if Jones pulled out the upset, a matter of fact ill take a guess and say Jones by close but clear UD.

people are saying that this should have happen some time ago, its over due and there is no point to it and all the rest of the **** that is against this fight. we know both of them are old and nowhere near their best, especcially in the case RJJ. but for these two fighters, it isn't just business, this is personal. they want the fight to happen so let it be. i was always enjoy watching hopkins fight, look at what he did to pavlik, is there anyone out there who didnt enjoy that fight (except for pavlik fans), who didnt praise hopkins performance?

in boxing u want to see the big names fight, these two are huge names or at one point were the top names, there is no harm in this fight happening. also what if RJJ wasnt inihilated by green, would boxing fans be against this fight happening?

anything can happen in boxing, nothing is a foregone conclusion, and i say this as a hopkins fan, anything can happen iin this fight. as long as the fight is entertaining and nobody is seriously hurt, what do we boxing fans have to complain about???
