the Europeans put on some of the weirdest cards i've ever seen. they've had different music acts playing between fights. right now it's uriah heep. it's just the lead singer and the guitar player. they are singing and playing along in the ring to the cd. the guitar player is playing the electric guitar parts with an acoustic guitar. i don't understand.

 

there's been at least four different bands playing in the ring between fights. some of this looks like it could have been recorded before the fights in the ring just for tv. i'm confused about all of it.

Its possible that not every culture does as Americans do. I have seen many half concert half fight nights in other countries and while its not my favourite if it helps draw a crowd then why not. I believe HBO tried it with some acts designed to attract younger market. Clifford Etiene vs Brewster was one of the first cards they tried it on.

 

is there a point to him fighting this guy? have you seen him? smh

yes, that was the ko nation series that hbo started. the ettiene brewster match was a hell of a fight. it's not the music that's the problem, it's that they are clearly not playing. all the bands are lip syncing and pretend playing with their songs. why not have a stage and let them actually play live?

 

i just saw it on one of the weigh-in stories of the card. didn't say why.
