I think Qawi gives Jones problems and makes things rough and uncomfortable for Roy in spots, but ultimately Roy wins a decision as he'll score enough quick flashy combos and not get trapped on the ropes too much.

Concur. He would have to move alot.

But he would be able to do it. His punches have enough pop to Qawi just from walking in, and the hand speed difference would be ridiculous. Jones 117--111.

I think Roy would win a decision too. But he'd be well advised to stay well away from Qawi, jab, move away, and pot shot his way to a decision. No nonsense, no risks. Qawi was one of the toughest fighters to ever lace em up, he was relentless and had underrated skills - but as you say, the hand- and footspeed would make the difference.

Qawi by stoppage. Roy never struck me as particularly battle hardened and Qawi was a beast.

  7. Roy would get dominated.

Yeah, but that was against Leon Spinks, not Roy Jones...

Roy wouldn't get caught like that on the ropes. As I said, he'd run all night and pot shot his way to a decision.

Jones by UD. Qawi has his moments, but ultimately Roy's speed would control the fight.

Qawi was awesome but people forget how unbelievable Roy was in his prime.

Being smaller than Jones ain't a good idea.
His style is perfect if you are smaller, can't touch him.

Jones would get that fragile Glass Mandible shattered all over the place. Jones has no Chin and no Heart. None.

Roy ALWAYS got caught on the ropes against anybody who pressured him. It was possibly his biggest flaw.
