Yea, I seen a article about him calling him out. Roy should fight him, and if he wins, he should retire from the sport leaving on a high note.
At least he knows that he doesn't have much time left. If I were him, I would go with Erdei and try to win a title belt one last time and retire. Avenging the Johnson loss wouldn't be a bad thing, but I'm not so sure he would win.
I dont see whats the problem he won his last 2 fights and is tryin to look for better competition, if he thinks he got what it takes to beat the Erdei, then who are we to tell him to stop. He may damn near woop dude. If he loses on the other hand then its time to hang em up. RJ is on a lose and retire thing now. He doesnt have room, to lose and come back, I think he knows if he ever loses another fight he is done for. Either way he is still going to be an ATG
Jones v Erdei is the best fight for both. If Jones wins he gets more recognition and a better bargaining tool should he enter into negotiations with Hopkins for a VERY possible rematch. If Erdei wins, especially if he does so in the states, he gets mainstream attention. People could sit up and take notice of him. It could also earn hima shot at Hopkins and/or the winner of Taver/Dawson and POSSIBLY a fight with Calzaghe should he move up to LH after Kessler. Mainly due to Erdei holding the WBO.
Roy talks too much. He wants to fight everyone, then changes his mind the next day. It's usually best to just ignore RJJ rumors until papers are signed.
Good post! :good By the way Erdei gave an interview to a Hungarian boxing site in which he was asked about this rumour. He said that he doesn't know of any offer from Jones's management but he would very much like to fight him even in the US. As for Murad Muhamad's comment about how difficult it is to lure the Euro champs to the States he simply replied: "For Jones' scalp I would even go to the Antarctica"
