    Jones by shutout 12-0.

Johnson had a great year in boxing officially, but unofficially he never hit top spot by my cards.

His overall career is very inconsistent.

There seems to be some effort to denigrate Roy for what happened to him late in his career, like some of the shine has come off him. For me it's just the opposite, every time I look at his early stuff at MW and SMW I'm more and more impressed.

Honestly, if someone had the opinion that RJJ, on his best day, was the GOAT I wouldn't really argue with them too much. It's a legit opinion even if you disagree with it. He was a ****ing beast of a fighter.

Roy Jones didn't KO everyone he fought, all i'm saying is that Jonshon would probably have been tough enough to last 12 and possibly pick up a couple of rounds.

Johnson has nothing to offer a Jones that could pull the trigger. Look at the difference pre Tarver KO and post....

Man Johnson was basic as hell....tough as nails but would have got countered and outsped all night...his heart would have abled him to be there and soak it up, but lets be real....Jones that night in 04 didnt have the confidence, the legs or energy to beat a guy like jOHNSON....in 2002 or earlier...easy work....Johnson would have been eating counter rights over the top and left hooks to the flanks all night...everyone on this board knows that wasnt the true Jones...once a fighter doubts himself they are done for...hell even in the first Tarver fight he dug deep and won but his energy level and confidence wasnt there he looked all pale and even his muscle tone and stamina was horrid

I think it's clear RJJ wins. Late TKO or maybe UD.

Jones by wide decision. I love Glen, but at Roy's best, Glen would not touch him.

RJJ fell victim to the first KO of his life. Some fighters get KO'ed and then it is like anything can hurt them afterwards. Lampley who needs glasses or forgot his due to saying RJJ got stopped by a one, two and then a left hook. It was just a right hand that was not even thrown with bad intentions. I mean, he got dropped and started talking and his body did not move one inch from where he was dropped. I know there are a lot of RJJ haters out there, but he is a victim of what I just explained above. He should have retired after the Ruiz fight. Possibly the weight he dropped had weakened him, i don't know and it is hard for anyone to come up with a logical explanation especially someone with the gifts of RJJ. He was only 35 so it was not like he was old. Even Lampley stated Tarver should fight Johnson and look what happened. Johnson beat Tarver and I always looked at Johnson as a very good journeyman. So it does not say much for Tarver who many say he is such a good fighter. If RJJ would have fought both of them prior to the Ruiz fight, it would have been two decisions for RJJ not KO's. On top of all I am saying, RJJ was losing to Johnson prior to the KO and it did not look like RJJ was going to KO Johnson. Maybe the chemicals in RJJ is all screwed up or something. I wish I knew what went wrong from the Ruiz fight until now. You can bash me and what you think of RJJ, but he was one hell of a fighter who just drowned after the leaving HW. I truly believe he should have retired or fought Byrd. By the way, I give a lot of props to Johnson and his career, but Tarver is so overrated. He thought he was God when he stopped RJJ and then he gets a reality check by losing to Johnson and being schooled by Hopkins. I really hope RJJ retires and stays as a commentator. Good lucK RJJ.

I believe you are half right. Yes, Johnson has a better chin, but I think Sosa strength was better. The fight should have not been stopped, but the inevitable was going to happen. I seen a lot of Sosa's fights and he is one tough dude.

Jones would've beat the **** out of Johnson. He'd would've beaten Tarver much easier too. Jones was done after coming back down to lhw.
