This was the first pro Roy Jones fight I saw after his Olympics run. From watching this vid, its plain to see that RJ had skills beyond just speed and power. He was setting traps, using angles, and setting up the final bodyshot by keeping him guessing with his jab and lead rights. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWr-lqTEu-w[/ame]
Jones is a Glass Jawed fraud whose whole career was smoke and mirrors he refused to make big fights, feasted on handpicked contenders and disgraceful mandatory defenses all the while claiming he was the #1 P4P fighter in the World. Jones can't take a punch and his carefully crafted approach to matchmaking shows this.
That is why Roy Jones Jr is without a doubt the most talented fighter of all time. He could have been the greatest if he were born into the right era, has all the physical capabilities of a Sugar Ray Robinson.
Trust me, if Roy Jones was born in a different era, that would have only halted him further. Someone has produced a video of him beating up someone who wasn't fit to be in the same building as him and this "...is why Roy Jones Jr is without a doubt the most talented fighter of all time"?
He previously fought James Toney and lost a 12 rd decision and Jones starched him in 1 how was it that he was not fit to be in the ring with Jones ????
its hard to disagree with any of that :deal roy jones is a banned anabolic steroid riddled glass jaw disgrace :deal
jones is an all time legend. dude was fun to watch and always entertaining in victory. crazy he is still around
I'm not saying RJJ is the greatest of all time. But everyone that said he just cruised on his immense talent and not his skills is plain wrong. Anyone with some experience watching that can see that he's setting traps, baiting and setting up the bodyshot.
he was always fun to watch. better technically than he was given credit for. will go down as one of the best for a reason.
