No need to construct a well-reasoned post lest Ted Spoon excites a tsunami of aggressive ignorance, but of a few things people should be clear.

Johnson was remarkably quick for a heavyweight, uncommonly strong, and if Jones' natural ability granted him a free tour it wouldn't be long until Lil' Arthur booted him out. When Johnson was genuinely uncomfortable in a fight he did something about it. The subjective waltz's that were the Hart, O' Brien and Jim Johnson bouts don't fit the said criteria.

Not quick enough to catch an old, shopworn O'Brien with any effectiveness, not strong enough to dissuade Hart, not uncomfortable enough to do something about Battling Jim Johnson...

Still, this would be a great match-up.

The O Brien fight was a 6 rounder to a no decision. Where was the incentive?
Johnson is credited with the first 10rds of the Hart fight, since it was over 20rds that should at least have guaranteed him a draw, and with any other referee a win, imo. Johnson broke his arm early in the Battling Jim fight but toughed out a draw though he had been out of the ring for over a year and a half ,and was nearly 36.Poor examples imo.

BTW .You did not answer my last response to your post.
