Now before anyone gets carried away, Roy could never, ever beat Lewis. Thats a given.

If anyone feels otherwise and wishes to post their view, use the code ''I am a moron'', just so everyone can see the like minded people at a glance.

But anyway, If Roy Jones had beaten Lewis after facing Ruiz, (and then retired), would he have gone down as the GOAT?

So, you basically want the opinion of people just a sentence earlier YOU classified as 'morons'?

Not a good thread Haye man, I am a massive Roy fan but Lennox would KO Roy brutally in round 1.

yeah, the going up in weight thing has its' limits-look what ahppened to mike spinks against tyson...and frankly tyson was flea compared to lewis who was a monster (his ko f rchman was scary) and I'm not a big LL fan at all. How would RJJ do anything to stop him from walking right through him? and his height and reach woud make cornering RJJ pretty easy. zrds1 KO unless Lewis was in one of his weird moods then by rd 5

I disagree, it would last longer than that. Tyson in his prime may have KO'd him in one, but not Lewis.

Jones has nothing to keep Lewis from coming at him.

He'd get hurt badly, early KO for Lewis.

  9. Im sure Roy would have been smart enough never to get in the ring with LL, He wouldn't last 3 rounds, and if he got hit flush he would have been carried out of the ring..:nut

I couldn't find the post on here but apparently an offer was made to Lewis but he had already decided he was going to retire.

Roy Jones could of lasted awhile vs the LL that fought Vitali.

can no one read what he is asking?

what he is saying - hypothetically, if he had beat lennox - what would his standing in the p4p list be? he'd be top 5 for sure, although i think it would take a near miracle to take SRR off.. he's that universally reconised its near impossible to convince people that someone else might be more deserving

I have made that post several times in response to the "Why didn't Jones fight Lewis if he wanted to be champion" question. He DID offer Lewis a fight for over 25 million (I believe this was the number mentioned on TV), but Lewis says that he told Jones he was unsure if he was going to continue fighting and therefore turned down the offer.

One, Lewis would have beaten Jones easily.

Two, to answer the question. No matter how unlikely, IF Jones had pulled this off after fighting Ruiz, yes, I would have considered him GOAT.
