How do you think a Jones-McClellen fight plays out?

Jackson said the fight could of been made, Jones points the finger at King for the fight not happening
Gman wanted to fight him at mw
Kings involvement also made that fight a hard fight to make

i agree it would've been a good fight in their primes but not when it was discussed. people call roy a ducker, but truth is most of the people he was supposed to fight took a L before they got to him.

       :rofl

i was too busy pissing myself at how worked up you got answering my clever, thought provoking question. its pretty obvious that me pwning you 11 times in the space of a week got you pretty pist off

so what your saying is that jones' steroid riddled fragile jaw was scared of both benn and mcclellan and he hid in a cupboard whilst the 2 real men in the division got it on :think

mcllelan = ferocious power and iron chin. he would of beat jones just like he did in the amateurs, hence reluctant roy sucking mclellans dick at every opportunity :deal

ps - you are completely devoid of a sense of humour. you are basically a **** who rates chad dawson p4p number 3 and who thinks that glen johnson is an american

Calm down sweetheart, if Nunn was past his best by '94 then he was most certainly years past his sell-by date by 1997.

That was the reason the fight didn't happen - because there was no impetus to make it happen. What would have been the point of Jones fighting Nunn in '97???

At that stage Jones was the undisputed p4p#1, and Nunn had followed defeats by Frankie Liles and Steve Little (stellar 21-13-2 record at the time) by sliding out of the world title picture and fighting C-class comp.

Pointless. You seem to be the only person in the world who rues this missed opportunity for a mismatch!

Off Topic: Toney never, ever looked as good after '94 as he did before. Once he left smw, he was a lesser fighter, despite the occasional great performance.

Yeah, but who cares really when an agreement was made to make the fight, but then tragedy prevented it from happening. How can it be held against Jones that a tragedy derailed the plans??? I'm starting to understand your position on any Jones-related issue now...

Jones Jr. vs. Benn or Eubank should of most definitely happened at some point. That would've been a barnburner.

I personally think the sanctioning bodies had a lot to do with guys not fighting one another in the 90's. They would strip guys of their titles on a regular basis if the Champ didn't defend against ther mandatory, and nobody back then wantede to lose their title outside of the ring. That being said RJJ should have fought Steve Collins, McClellan, Julian Jackson, Benn, Eubank, Michaelchewski and Nunn at some point in his early years.
But he didn't. IMO he wins easily over all of them but G-Man, Nunn and Eubank.
Close vs. Nunn before 1994, Eubank he beats every time but it's close. And he is 50/50 vs. MCClellan who was a terror. That was tragic and partially the referee's fault for protecting Benn in the 1st round of 1995's fight of the year.
