yeah i read it, it sound like roys dad was interested in protecting jones juniors legacy. why would he want to show a video of his son gettin his ass kicked? it would only illustrate why reluctant roy ducked him in the pro's.

This fight did not happen for the same reason Tyson never fought Tim Witherspoon. The opponent was too good compared to how easy people thought Tyson or Jones would beat Witherspoon or Nunn. I always thought Nunn would be really tough for Jones. In retrospect I think Roy would win a decision, but Nunn could be good and had great boxing skills. By the time he would fight Jones, he was not as great a boxer, but he still could box, and he punches harder than most gave him credit for. If Tarver was tough for Jones, Nunn would have really been tough. Nunn was a better fighter.

And how could Roy have ducked him in the pros when it was negotiated that Jones would have fought the winner of the Benn /McCllelan fight ?
