Jones would've boxed circles around Tyson at this stage.

Yup. And Roy still had great reflexes and decent foot speed at HW. It's only after he came back down did he lose something physically. He would've been way too fast for Tyson. I think he would've embarrassed Tyson.

Tyson and early, nothing to do with Jones chin I just think stylistically it would have been a bad matchup for Jones.

Jones would have toyed with Tyson then. And should be smart enough to stay off the ropes. But I woudnt be surprised if Mike Ko's him if he lands on him. But then, Ill pick a UD in favor of Jones..

I thought tyson tried to convince roy that a tyson fight made more sense than a tarver fight. Why didn't roy jones just make tarver come up to heavyweight to fight him?

Have the same thoughts here for years now..A big mystery to me. He held the LHW title for some time, no need to get it back from Tarver. Just won the HW title, he should have defended it against Tyson, Byrd , Tarver( should have moved up if he wants Jones) but should stay away from Lennox. Then retire after 2 fights. His legacy then would have been better.

i don't think jones was pumped for anything after the ruiz fight.
i think he fought after that fight for the same reason he's kept fighting to this day...

I think Tarver got under RJ's skin when he showed up at the Ruiz/Jones post fight conference and called him out. But i think the bottom line is that he couldn't get a fight with Tyson and there was really no other big name out there. Plus, Tarver did have s LHW belt and that is an accomplishment to go back down and win it again.

Tyson KO1 or RJJ UD, if he dances FAST in teh 1st round, cos Tyson will be gassed after 1st round.

RJJ dont have teh cheen to take teh MEGA-HAYMAKERS Lenny Lewis took in teh 1st Round VS Tyson.

speed would be the main factor in that fight. Faster and quicker man would win this
