    Yeh it's a howl ai'nt it:lol:

I'am with yer on Jones jr getting the better of Nigel, just a 2 step up in class but as we both know is that Nigel would go down swinging & if the McClellan fight is anything to go by:bbb He'd always have that punchers chance, but i'd expect the bookies to have RJJ at least 3/1 ON:deal

Sounds about right. People seem to think the Jones from the mid 90s is the same fighter he is today. If only they knew....

Chill bro, I'm a 'euro mother****er' and I agree but theres no reason to disrespect Benn, he was a ring warrior and what he had in him is what makes the sport great.

There were disputes over money, location, etc. from both sides. Neither guy looked like they were willing to go all out to make this.

I am a huge Benn fan but lets face it, jones would have picked him off all night. If you read Benns autobiography youll see even his coach told him he was glad the jones fight wasnt made cause he would have been beaten!

there were rumours also that Jones wouldn't fly to the UK for a the fight.

One thing I will not accept, was that Benn didn't duck Jones. Benn ducked no one.

    Nigel ducked NO ONE.
If there was a whiff of this fight being made he would have done it.
Jones ducked nigel, who knows why.
That being said, of all the years i have watched the sport.
    Benn
    jones
    tyson
are in my opinion what boxing should be about.
In there prime, they dominated fighters and put fear into there opponents before the first bell even sounded.
We just dont have these kind of fighters anymore. :-(
Oh and for what its worth, with my tinted specs on i see a nigel benn win over jones.

Anyone saying Roy ducked Benn has no idea what they are talking about... Roy wanted the fight, as did HBO, Benn turned down the last offer, and that is exactly when Roy moved up to LHW.

I'm certain that the reasons were contractual. Benn admits that RJJ would probably beat him but Benn certainly had a chance of an upset.
