I dont understand this logic, you must know that there is all kinds of politics going on behind the scenes. Who gets the larger purse splits, which network gets the fight, ppv buys etc.

His prepared to fight G-man, but his afraid to fight Jones? That makes no sense, Benn wanted that fight.

Jones claimed he called Benn, it was in a book called the Dark Trade, whether he did or not is another story

I agree at that point in his career Jones had outboxed Toney and Hopkins but he had never done anything to make people fear him. With the kind of money talked about Im sure that even if Benn was scared he would of overcome it.

Yes of course. Im sure some fighters fear other fighters but that doesnt stop fights from being made. Think of all the fighters who were willing to fight Tyson for career high paydays. Benns highest payday at that point was 1m, im sure against Jones he would of got 3m+ so theres no way he would of turned down that fight.

They asked Benn point blank after the delay if he would fight Jones, and he said he understood that Jones is on another level right now, and that he would have to think about it.

What are you talking about? The post fight interview got cut short due to McClellans injuries. I never heard him say anything about being afraid of Jones rather the contrary he called Jones out after that fight
