Those who wer around know the deal. Benn is a nice guy, but you can't pretend that Benn would've beaten a prime Roy based on Roy being ko'd past his prime and after losing weight from 196 lbs back down to 175, and never being the same fighter-ALL after the age of 35...

Toney lost the Tiberi fight, the decision sparked a FBI investigation. He got outworked in both of the McCallum fights, who was by far the busier fighter in both fights especially the II fight.

Because Benn would have been sliced to a thousand pieces and reduced to a tomato can, that's why.

Benn was offered this fight and turned it down like Steve Collins did and many others. You guys need to get Roy Jones' fight with Bryant Brannon, before that fight Jones gives a public interview IN THE RING with three guys asking him question and people from the crowd, Jim Lampley hosted it. Ron Borges, Steve Farhood and some other were the three asking and they openly asked about those guys and RJJ made it clear they all turned it down with HBO approving this since they were also involved. I didn't see ANYONE argue with that and I find it weird so many people don't know about this. Collins was mentioned instead of Eubank because he beat Eubank at that time and was obviously a more worthy challenger. They ALL were offered career high paydays the never DREAM of and turned it down.

Benn wanted the fight, it would of been his biggest payday. Are you telling me than Brannon and Frazier were prepared to step into the ring with Jones but not Benn?

This has nothing to do with the discussion

The offer he made to Nunn was far from fair

Tiberi was a bum who couldn't even land punches on a cramped up Toney, and the McCallum/Toney fights were pickem fights so stop lying to the fans lol...

Legitimate, but Toney aside not elite level. P4P neither Hill or Ruiz would be above Eubank or McClellan.
