How does he do against these HW champions who weighed less than 200 lbs? prime 4 prime.

Take Roy from his best LHW fights or Ruiz fight.

    Jones jr vs:
    Jack Dempsey
    Gene Tunney
    Ezzard Charles
    Floyd Patterson
    Leon Spinks

    What with size being everything!

This sort of thing should have been done away with, when people were concerned that Glen Johnson might have killed him!

Jones might go the distance with Spinks, gets knocked out in the rest

We haven't really seen enough from him to justify favoring him over any of the above.

I can see Jones being competitive with all. Maybe not the favorite, may not win all, but he belongs.

    Jones gets too much hate.
    He was special.

I do not think much of Jones at a heavyweight.

That is how I see it. Jones had no chin issues at 160, but did at 175, and some of these guys could punch and were well above 175

    1. Depends on whether or not he could avoid Dempseys big bombs. But I must say, Dempsey would need to respect Jones power

    2. Undecided

    3. Old Ezzard Charles....the forerunner of Evander Holyfield. Id lean to Charles to get a decision or perhaps stoppage

    4. Patterson via UD or stoppage. He definitely could match speed with Jones

    5. Jones >>>> Leon Spinks. Its the other Spinks id be worried about him against. And I dont mean Cory.

Patterson I think would be able to keep on to Jones probably stop him or win a decision. Jones probably beats the Leon Spinks an older Ali faced but he'd have to work really hard and dig deep to do it.

    1-4 (2)

Should be able to beat Leon
Loses the other 4 and gets stopped by Dempsey & Patterson

I don't think Tunney or Charles knock him out. In both cases I see a cautious, "boring" fight that ends in a controversial split decision, leads to a lot of grumbling among fans, and adduces the adage "Boxing is like jazz; the better it is the less it's appreciated".

I could see Roy and Floyd exchanging knockouts like Floyd and Ingo.
