Tarver knew if Roy missed with a right hand lead, he would have a good chance of landing with the overhand left. Roy threw a lazy left hook when he should have covered up after he missed his right.... It was Roy's fault trying such a punch when his speed and reflexes were clearly diminishing.

I wish Tarver had fought Roy a few years earlier, losing to Harding was Tarver's blessing from the gods... But I wont take the victory away, he knew what punch he was throwing and it payed off in spades.:yep

Thats how I saw it.. I had it a clear win for Roy. He clearly won rounds 1,3,4,5,6, 9,11, and 12.. Tarver jus had a few moments here and there and people wasn't use to seeing that happen to Roy so thought it was closer then it was.. I had it 8 rounds to 4.. Roy shouldn't of even fought him again..

Roy won but you here some people saying it was a contraversial win and it wasn't at all. Tarver had some good moments here in there while Roy was resting on the ropes and people wasn't use to seeing Roy take shots like that but Roy clearly won 8 rounds..

Jones won that fight, it was close but he clearly took it. Only reason people were over dramatic is because this is the first time Jones looked troubled in a fight.

I had Tarver winning. Saying Jones dominated is ****ing ******ed. How do you dominate a fight laying on the ropes covering up like a scared little girl???

by outboxing your opponent every second the fight WASN'T on the ropes. boxing is won in rounds. jones won more rounds than tarver. it also helps if you fight all 12...tarver dropped the ball in the last two

He wasn't on the ropes all night, he did go there from time to time but when he took it to the middle of the ring Tarver got his ass whopped.

The Majority of those punches Tarver did throw was missing and hitting gloves but he landed a some good shots but like someone else said Roy only went to the ropes from Time to time and thats the only time Tarver would even swing.. In the middle of the ring it wasn't even a contest.. Rounds 1,3,4,5,6,9,11 and 12 were easily won by Roy in my opinion.. Please post your scorecard I hav to see how u would hav Tarver winning more then 4 or 5 rounds let alone 7...:rofl

I thought Tarver clearly took round 1. Roy did **** for damage, and really for outboxing, and got blasted in the last minute. 3,4,5,6,9,11,12 were Roy's, and I don't see a strong arguement for scoring those rounds the other way. Especially 3-6. Tarver throws less than 30 punches in those rounds. Talking about handing the fight away after such a strong start.
