Roy Jones wants a Cruiserweight strap before he retires.

I hope he goes for it because I want to see his disgraceful Glass Mandible shattered a few more times before he retires.:roflatsch

Roids is and always has been a cherrypicking disgrace and karma is biting him in the ass for the years of fighting New York's entire sanitation department in lieu of legitimate fighters like Benn, Eubank, G-Man, etc.

 

So, basically Roy is telling us he is going to try and do what he has always done and that is handpick a belt from someone. :roflatsch

What a disgrace this guy is. How can his fans justify this? He has done this hos whole damn career. Going after some vacant or paper title instead of fighting THE Champion and earning it the hard way.

 

I totally see that happening if Toney wins, same for Toney-Hopkins

 

I want Roy to retire just as much as the any other boxing fan. I really do. I don't want him to get hurt and I think he's a good commentator. Plus, the more he fights, the more he tarnishes his great legacy.

BUT...

If he continues to fight, then it would be so cool to see him beat Toney again (after Toney outboxes Ledbedev), then finally slay the dragon that started his downfall and beat Tarver again. I don't know if he could pull it off, but if he did that and retired, it would put some of that luster back on his career. If he somehow found a way to entice Tarver into another fight, and found a way to beat him, then I believe he'd retire happy.

 

Tragic that a bloke can earn so much money and end up broke. Not the first though > Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis. Just to name a few.
