Watching the fight, Jones kept his left hand low the entire fight. He had absolutely no defence and kept leaning against the ropes. He didn't even use footwork to get himself out of the corner and was open for a right-hand to hit at will, and that's exactly what happened. Credit to Green, but Jones fought a foolish fight and got punished for it. Glass Jaw jokes aside (it's just a bit of banter), it's really sad seeing a great fighter diminished like this. Time for Roy to call it a day.
I thought that people were reading too much into the Lacy fight. Had Jones retired after the first Tarver fight or had he never returned to LHW after the Ruiz fight, he would be considered one of the greatest fighters ever with legions of fans calling him the greatest ever!
It's the way Jones always fight's. His reflexes just ain't what they used to be, nuff said. He got touched end of story.
Roy Jones was keeping his left hand low the entire fight? Yeah! You've seen him fight before?????? He is always like that
I think this kid is 13. Have you ever ****ing watched a Roy Jones fight? He fought like that his whole career, with the exception of the high guard he employed for Trinidad and Calzaghe. But you wouldn't know that because you probably play the fight with Calzaghe over and over and tell yourself how impressive it was.
The point I was making is that he didn't have respect for Green's ability to hit him, thus he reverted to type. Does that make sense you ****ing gimp?
He got hit in a rough spot, towards the back of the head but still a legal shot. He just didn't recover well. He really didn't get hit much after that but he wasn't throwing back, so the ref rightly stopped it.
No, the point you made is that Jones fought a "foolish fight" against Green, which is ridiculous because he has fought that way his whole career.
