This fighter was a come forward brawler. Roy Jones fought 60 plus fights he has seen most of the styles out there. To say otherwise is just ignorance.

The only part of Roy's career for me that routinely gets overhyped by some is his middleweight work. He looked great, but it wasn't against the kind of competition he fought as he moved up, and fights with the other highest rated guys there didn't materialize. I don't blame him for it, he just moved up before achieving greatness at 160.

It's only with Hopkins success years later that hindsight makes it look much more impressive than it actually was.

The over hyping isn't his fault, of course. Dude still had a great career most boxers would kill for.

i dont think any style could deal with jones junior at his best. To this day i dont know what the game plan would be to beat him...just hope he turns up and has an off night.

He had that rare talent where they dont even look like their even trying. Muhammad ali had it. scary too watch...its like they just do everything on auto pilot. Not only that they seemed to have the ability to diffuse opponents. Like you could stick tyson in with jones and tyson would suddenly not look quite as fearsome. Its like they drain the opponents confidence. Ali had the same thing.

Roy jones for me was the most talented fighter of the last 20 years. Floyd was talented but to me they just worked on his reflexes so he was sharper than everyone else. But roy had more imo could hit you from anywhere with any punch. Could pretty much beat you any which way.

So you can say with 100% certainty that he never doped early in his career?!? That's a pretty basic yes or no question. Don't feed me your excuses yes or no?

Look at the resumes of the guys he didn't fight and see whether or not they had holes in theirs too.

List the guys who he missed who were available to him. It won't be a big list.

He's saying Roy Jones had a pitiful glass jaw, but the fight I linked pretty much disproved that. Sosa was a pressure fighter that came forward and landed some good shots that had little effect. Gotta be careful on here, they dksab with agendas.

Can you say with 100% certainty that he did dope early in his career? Youre the one making the claim so you should provide the proof.

My first Roy fight I saw was a delayed coverage of his bout against James Toney. Before that, I aint never seen anything like him. I seen Sugar Ray Leonard but Roy was something else. Exceptional indeed.

I can say it's more likely that he did since he got caught. See someone who doesn't cheat isn't caught at all.

Often times when you come up against exceptional talent pressure is the key. Duran pressure Leonard. Frazier pressured Ali. LaMotta pressure Robinson. Hagler pressure Hearns.

Pressure when employed correctly by an iron chinned and iron lunged fighter can change everything.

I think a natural MW version of Duran gives RJJ hell.
