IOts easy for you to talk brave about lower level fighters then comparing them to Jones. None of them had to face him. They all got to compete with eacy other but Roy was above them all.

Name me one of your fighters who went unbeaten 15 years, won 4 world tieles AND defended them And unified them.

hey to tyson86, **** tyson looks like an animal in that picture,, i love the guy,, anyway about the question,, yes roy was one of the best ever p4p in an head to head match up in his prime i cant think of anyone beating him,, and i hate when people rank these old timers so highly,, how do you know that harry greb was the second best fighter ever? there is not even any footage of him available, and the little that there is of him or any old school fighters is all distorted and filmed through those frame by frame shithouse cameras there is no way of telling if someone was a good fighter or not,, all i can tell u is that on pictures they all looked like flabby old men and werent half the athletes of todays fighters, i bet you that any modern era fighter would beath an old shool guy in a head to head match up. plus today we have roids,, and YES EVERYONE IS USING THEM

You wanna re-phrase that? This time make it so that it's not completely false.

How can we take this list seriously when Duran is above the likes of Leonard and Hearns and Pernell Whitaker above Willie Pep.
I'd have to say Jack Johnson should be there too.

As for the original question i wouldn't say the greatest of all time but he has to be in the mix, as for his opponents not being as good as someone elses he can barely help the people around at the time to fight him and the fact heeasily beat them.

"Roy Jones is so talented he could give away half his ability and still be competitive with most of the guys out there" Fight Night Round 3 love it when the commentators say that.

How should Hearns be above Duran in a P4P sense? Do you think Schmeling should be above Mickey Walker P4P as well? I think your answer will severely damage your credibility(whatever you had), so I'd advise just apologizing and moving on. :good

And no, Johnson most assuredly should not be on this list, considering it is a P4P list, and he doesn't even rank as a top 5 HW.

As far as Whitaker above Pep? Give me reasons why not, and I'll do my best to refute them.

Roy Jons won recognition as p4p the best fighter in the world. He did it 6 times but should have gotten it ten times. So I rank him the way he SHOULD HAVE been ranked. Won four championships including heavyweight when Mz Kellerman said it would never happen. He made a believer of Max that night but Mxie just found out what I knew all along, that there has never been a fighter like my boy Roy. In addition, he didnt just win a title and say "**** it" like Gay Leonard. Roy took that lightheavyweight title and defended it, unified it. Quite frankly, no one could be a match for him.

What other titles did he unify? You said he defended and unified them all.

there is a better argument for floyd mayweather being the best of all time. as for people putting whitaker on the top 25 of all time, they need help. he lost to oscar de la hoya. i don't care if he was old... we just saw an old casamayor beat a young katsidis and an old campbell beat a young juan diaz... and an old roy jones beat a young unbeaten anthony hanshaw... pea wee was not that good!!!

OK, so Katsidis, Diaz, and Hanshaw were as good as a prime De La Hoya?

And according to most who actually scored the fight, Whitaker won. Close fight, but clear on my cards for Whitaker. The fact that you had him losing a close fight to De La Hoya when past his prime takes away from everything else he accomplished, and how unbeatable he was in his prime, two weight classes below?

I had half a mind just to insult you, but I really want to see if you're capable of coming up with a feasible argument to support your ridiculous, un-thought out claim.
