That's the exact same logic Roy fans have used in regards to all the out-of-prime fighters he beat in his career.
Jones embarrassed fighters. When you signed a contract to fight Jones it was more like you signing the rights to your life over ftom the first til the final bell, cause Jones 100% OWNED you!
Said it before...Roy Jones in his prime is the most physically gifted fighter to ever step into the ring...For pure physical ability,he had no peers...Of course there have been extraordinary fighters in the history...Ali,SRR,Tyson, etc...but nobody could do exactly what Roy Jones could.. In his prime....and I like Joe Calzaghe, even better earlier in his career..Joe would'nt have made the final bell against Roy Jones.Everything Joe does,Roy better back in the day..hell of a puncher with either hand..and the speed would keep him out of Joes' range...until he finally catches him with something hard and drops him. Too bad Roy never tried to go the next level...Mcllelan,Eubank,Benn,DM...all these names will alaways stand out as the guys he never fought...Not entirely his fault, but he can't be credited for fights that never happened. IMO,he'd beat all of them...with Mclellan and Benn standing the best chance of the lot.
