Roy Jones will not be remembered for his prime, but for these terrible KOs

Well... it does expose his relatively bad technique. Relative to someone like Hopkins who can still compete in his later years based on nothing but technique and footwork.

Great post.and nevermind those wins came against young Hopkins and Toney.Ruiz was not the best HW.but still to see man fight from MW to end up against Top10 HW.it's incredible.

The only "sad" part from fans perspective is Roy never used 100% of his talent.win or lose fight against Lewis or Tyson would have been huge.but maybe
I know why it didn't happen.Roy chin wouldn't have lasted.insert Hagler chin to Roy and he could pull it off :deal

Sugar Ray Robinson in and near his prime wasn't that hard to hit. Watch the "St Valentine's Day Massacre" - LaMotta jabs his head off. Roy Jones in his prime was practically untouchable. You never saw him get jabbed up or anything like that.

Jones getting KO'd at 46, when he's physically shot to pieces, doesn't do anything to his legacy. SRL isn't remembered by his losses to Norris and Camacho. Imagine if Leonard kept going for another 5 or 6 years after that. There would be more embarrassing losses if he fought anyone with a pulse.
