    So what?

Ali lost to Spinks at 36, and Wladimir Klitschko still looks great at almost 40. It doesn't necessarily mean that Wlad's the greater fighter though.

    Are you trolling here?

Again, it's unfair to do direct comparisons between two fighters from different eras who fought at different weights.

    Everyone's circumstances are different.

But ask yourself the following questions:

Would Floyd have fought the caliber of guys that Ray fought if he'd have had the opportunity?

Would Floyd have beaten those guys?

Also, Floyd started out at SFW, so he's had the opportunity to fight in more weight classes. It means nothing.

You have used very poor logic, and Ray fighting at SMW means nothing. He was a peak WW.

You'd have been better off asking who rates higher between Floyd and Ray, or who was better etc.

    It's a poor thread.

Beating a fighter like Hearns in his prime alone probably puts him around Floyd at the ATG ratings. But you make a valid point about the hypothetical match ups. Then again Floyd brags to be TBE so people try to find him worthy opponents. And yes somebody that struggles with Maidana ain't beating SRL.

Floyd isn't rated higher due to emotion. He's rated higher because he beat the likes of Benitez, Duran, Hearns and Hagler. If you used objective criteria, Floyd couldn't be rated higher.

As great as Floyd is, he doesn't have a single win that can compare to those. He's never beaten a fellow ATG while they were prime. Floyd having had more fights etc, shouldn't automatically put him higher.

People do head to head scenarios between Ray and Floyd at WW, because both guys had a number of fights there.

How many fights did Ray have at SMW?

Again, your use of logic on this subject is poor. And you speaking of logical fallacies in amusingly ironic.

Lol a lot og you MF's are on on your period and clearly missed the point of the post and think I'm trying to bash SRL. My point was that obvioulsy comparing an older SRL in his 30's in his 4th weigh class to RJJ would not be a fair way to assess his greatness, yet people conistently want to compare a past prime Mayweather in his 30's fighting in his 4th class, to a young prime SRL fighting at WW which is his first weight. This thread, exposes the stupidity of such a comparison.

No your knowledge of boxing history is poor. SRL had like 30 fights at WW. Mayweather like 11 or 12, and a few fights at 154 sprinkled in. His remaining 30+ fights were at 140 and below.

The real question is, who's better P4P between RJJ and SRL?

Mayweather beat Maidana twice, the second time quite easily. But again, why do people want to compare a 37 year old Floyd to a young 20's SRL. Does that make sense.

That's like me saying "38 yr old Muhammad Ali lost to Holmes therefore there's no way he could compete with Tyson."

Of course we think you're bashing Ray. Go and re read what you've typed. But any knowledgeable fan should an*lyse any fighters resume with objective criteria.

I said that people do head to head match ups at WW, because both fighters have had a number of fights there. Also, Floyd is still fighting at WW and he's the consensus pound for pound number 1 fighter in the world. As well of course as proclaiming himself as the best ever. So comparisons and fantasy threads are obviously going to occur.

So your main issue is fans making fantasy threads between Ray and Floyd at WW?

Dumb thread. Yes, RJJ could have defeated a SRL at SMW. And Rocky Marciano (fought at 185 pounds) would have beaten GGG. etc etc.
