Haha. She'll be like who's Roy? And he'll sheepishly respond "Nobody..." whilst realising RJJ has no idea who is and hasn't given him a seconds thought.

Yeah probably. Not a good weight for Leonard but Roy was very comfortable at 168.
I'm not sure if this is supposed to prove anthing though?

Basically, the point he was trying to make, was that he thinks it's grossly unfair for people to make fantasy Floyd vs Ray threads, because Ray was naturally bigger and at his peak at WW, whereas Floyd wasn't.

So to highlight how unfair he thinks it is, he's noted that Floyd fighting Ray at WW, would have been the equivilant of Ray fighting Roy at SMW.

In my opinion, it wouldn't due to many reasons. So I think he could have found a better example. But I do understand his point.

Ray Leonard was at the end of his career at super-middleweight. Fact.

    Your thread is stupid. Fact.

He's made a genuine point, but he's picked the wrong example to illustrate it.

You mean like how Floyd is now 38 and at the end of his career at WW, and yet people still act like he is in his prime and hold him to these otherworldy, Godly standards.

I agree Roy would have bested him. Ray's best weight was at welterweight.

You mean he thinks an ATG middleweight would beat an ATG welterweight?

Let me call ESPN to run the story. This is hot! :rasta

(And yes, it was an outright terrible example)

That's how stupid people sound when they try to do fantasy SRL vs Floyd fights. There are comparing an ATG WW to an ATG Superfeatherweight. But it's ok when is Floyd

People who make such comparisons aren't to be taken seriously.

There are weight divisions for a reason.

    Again, the circumstances are different.

Floyd's an active WW who's considered the best fighter in the world. He also proclaims to be TBE. So it's inevitable that people are going to compare him to the likes of Ray.
