thats why ottke wont be remembered. it also mirrors calzaghe to a lesser extent. but it still applies.
Oh well, I love how these guys squander 10x's more than we will ever make and people feel sorry for them. He made truckloads of money and over indulged and was able to enjoy it. Man up, get a job like the rest of us.
hes been married 3 times....and is gonna get married again? he deserves to be broke for not learning his lesson
Roy wants to fight Jermain Taylor next, why would he waste his time fighting someone who nobody cared about even when he was in his prime?
Get the **** outta here with that ****. Comparing Calzaghe to Ottke, even to a lesser extent, is just plain stupid.
dont forget he looked **** to calzaghe.but calzaghe is a fantastic boxer. i bet roy could still beat most of the lhw boys. i would throw him in with froch to see how good froch is.(catch weight).
Michalczewski was going to fight Ottke in a catchweight fight last April but it got shelved. He is easily top 20 175lb of all time, 48-2 (38) is pretty impressive, whichever way you look at it. Furthermore, very few of the opponents could have been said to be softened up by others, or low on experience. Both his and Roy's resume are weaker for not fighting.
These fights, Dariusz/Ottke or Dariusz/Jones, they are novelty fights. They would be interesting, and I'm sure they'd do great money over in Germany, but they mean ****. Absolutely ****. They tell you nothing about prime matchups. They tell you who is less shot. The Tiger has one fight in the last 6 years, and that was a desperately disapointing performance where he showed his age. That gives an indication about how these matchups would go.
give him more money for another fight and he is gonna waste it again. dude blew it, 30 millions on loose living wtf.
