    At 175 I would pick:

    Charles
    Moore
    Spinks
    Tunney
    Moorer
    Foster

    to knock Glass Jaw Roy out cold. End of discussion and I am probably missing a few throughout Boxing History. To say Roy Jones is the best Light Heavyweight head to head is a farce. At 168 Roy did not do anything he was there for a handfull of fights and then left to avoid other fighters in that division. Jones has a crap resume compared to other ATG's he simply did not fight everyone that was available.

    I'd fancy Charles to beat him definitely at 175. Tunney probably. Moore, Foster and Spinks maybe (though I'd favour him over Moore personally). Moorer - no ****ing way. How exactly does a short WBO title reign and some wins against dire opposition make you think he could beat the 1996-2003 Roy Jones? :-(

    left handed power puncher who moved up to Heavyweight had success and stayed there unlike Jones. Glass Jaw Roy would get knocked out.

    I repeat - what did you see in Michael Moorer at 175 that makes you think he could beat 1996-2003 Roy Jones?

    i think you are doing him a dis-service by naming the ruiz win as his 3rd best. symbolically yes, but did anyone expect him to lose?

    Southpaw power puncher who would wreck Roy's fragile Glass Jaw. It makes no difference if it was 1996 or 2006 Roy has always had a Glass Jaw. Also, he was knocked down by Lou De Valle and knocked out brutally by Tarver both Southpaws. Moorer has more power than both of those. Is that a good enough reaon/analysis for you?

    I couldn't disagree more.

    No-one could have had complete confidence in a win, at least no-one with sound boxing knowledge. How could anyone know how Jones would handle the weight? How could anyone know Ruiz wouldn't be able to land one big shot in the whole fight, or cut off the ring effectively?

    Think how often people query if fighters moving up 5lbs in weight will be able to handle the new weight? That's a common concern. For instance, I read that concern being expressed a lot about Marquez moving up to fight Casamayor! I myself questioned if Hatton could handle the jump in weight v Mayweather as he had looked uncomfortable jumping 7lbs to fight Collazo.

    Roy Jones put on TWENTY pounds and was still giving away THIRTY pounds!!

    I do not understand how anyone could have complete confidence in Jones handling this and winning, when it has seldom been done before.

    So that is the sole basis for your belief? Moorer had a good punch. Jones got KO'd when he was old and shot. That's it? No other factors at all matter? You're a turd.

    Jones was knocked down by De Valle in his so called "Prime" by a Southpaw who did not punch near as hard as Moorer. This is all moot anyway as Roy would have never fought Moorer at Light Heavyweight he would have avoided him like he did any other legit threat. Jones has a Glass Jaw and has been brutally KOed twice. :dance
