Since you are 1 of the most dishonest facades of a poster I have ever seen since joining this forum (only MVC , MVC! is near your level and @ this sobforum only solomon deeds , _Ali and another fake account I forgot its name) it is no surprise you go by boxrec and not by video content that is available to most for free via internet. There was no beating in Jones' performance vs Hopkins. Just a cautious dull getting past 12 rds. Malinga was 14 years older than Jones. There is no limit to how far you go to deceive your dumb believers. Any functioning brain with some familiarity of reality can not honestly count Toney's version that Jones fought as a credible win.
I thought Malinga had a very good case for beating Eubank and Benn (1st fight). Did you see his Rochiagiani fight? He suffered for being a boring technician and being the away fighter.
Sosa fight was catchweight (171 or 172), though Sosa was willing to come to down to 168. Right before the fight, Ring (subjective of course) said Sosa had the best chin in boxing.
Boxrec? A cautious, dull performance against Hopkins? I wonder if Roy's fractured hand played a part? You're quite right, Malinga was much older than Roy. So we'll pretend it never happened. We'll also discount the Toney win, because he was cancer sick. Oh and the Griffin win too. You're one of the biggest jokers on this forum. I'm still waiting for you to list all of the guys that Roy ducked. :good
In a way it was similar to how his fractured chin played a part against Tarver. Only 14 years older. Nothing serious. The invincible Malinga in his prime years. Such a win in itself is enough for WBHOF induction. Just as weak as cancer sick. BUT, since it was HIS FAULT let us pretend that it was a win over a chiseled fresh Toney. Pretend it was like Griffin was 100% ready, Roy played basketball, had a flew, AND STILL won by 1st rd KO. Now Im starting 2c where ur c*mming from. UR 1 of z worst posters on any forum. Start with some of those I picked 2 beat him or as pickems against him that were near their prime and competed in parallel times and w8 2 him .
Thought Malinga was beaten clearly by Eubank. One of his best performances against a cautious fighter actually.he even landed and knocked sugar boy down with that ridiculous telegraphed over-hand right he was always mocked for. Malinga definitely has a good case for deserving the win over Benn first time out.
frankenfrank, Great answer.atsch Your sarcasm is wasted. Nobody has proclaimed it as phenomenal victory. But it was good. Yeah, and we'll also pretend that if Toney had been 100%, Roy wouldn't have won a round. I'm sure if Griffin hadn't been FORCED into the ring, Roy couldn't have beaten him. He was so lucky! The irony. Ha! Every time I see your name, I remember you telling me that Ray Leonard wasn't great. You have zero credibility. You really shot yourself in the foot with your silly claim. Assuming that because Roy didn't fight them, they were ducks. Ha! I won't hold my breath for you presenting me with any form of evidence.
Griffin wasn't ready. Not because he was forced to the ring, but because he didn't work him Futch for the rematch.
Mainly because he was cold and rushed into the ring cold (or else no money and probably sued too) , then he was caught cold , literally cold .
No good Winning the fight is questioned here There is their 1st fight for assessment of it. Griffin could do better than their 1st fight too. Leonard's career was more reminiscent to Roy's than most know. Only slightly different ways. Leonard waited for exact moments of inability to make weight, or created them by catchweight contracts. His Hagler contract is legendary in itself. Roy only did similarly with James, rest of his opponents were either smaller, outdated or both. Nothing great about neither of them as a fighter. Call it whatever you want. Roy avoided almost every single live threat of his era. Ducked or not.
Is Eddie Booker's knockout over Archie Moore the greatest individual win ever...I mean look what Moore went on to do? Credit should be given to the fighter you beat on that night, not the fighter they would become. A year later, Hopkins would still be struggling with Mercado.
