Iran was done after the Toney Loss in early '93. Totally shot. The only time Roy could have fought him was in '92 if he had decided to move up from 160. Toney is the one who moved up and beat Barkley. In my opinion, Roy would have beaten Barkley just as easily or worse than Toney did.
He had to add this line - 1994: Jones enters the list at no. 1 after beating Toney. Otherwise it looks like he fought Toney after he dropped from the rankings. Extremely flawed. Edit - And do you blame him for leaving 168 when he did. Liles turned the fight down, Collins was fighting Benn, and he easily beat Paz in 1995. 1996: 1: Roy Jones Jr. 2: Frankie Liles 3: Steve Collins 4: Vinny Pazienza
Strange how many of Eubank's opponents either ended brain damaged : Watson , Collins , Close , or just retired @ early 30s : Benn , Wharton. All of them except Close were Benn's opponents too. Benn also put the final damage in McClellan's brain, but in his case I know the damage had already been done by Moorer , Hearns , Jackson and probably others too (maybe Don Lee in sparring ? Mugabi certainly did not land on McClellan)
You have any idea of how their sparrings went ? I suppose Holyfield was easy on him. Wait. Holyfield sparred in Kronk too? And why did he spar a 160lber as big as (but only for a 160lber) that 160lber was ? At least Moorer was a former 175lber so it made a 1/4 sense.
McClellan used to come into the ring at 180+ and remain chiseled. He used to batter Evander apparently.
