I truly believe that Williams was much more durable than Cooney. I think he would perform better in close range, but Cooney hits significantly harder with his left hook.
Interesting fight. Williams had excellent size/dimensions and some very decent skills and he wouldn’t have been ancient, ready to be wheeled into a nursing home.
