    ROY.HAS.NO.LEGS.

he would get mashed. beating a guy who was fighting 15+ pounds above his prime weight and hadn't set foot in a ring for over 2 years means nothing. bloody hell, even tito had some joy early on and didn't exactly have that much trouble tagging RJJ.

this place amazes me at times.

A prime Jones beats Calzaghe in a fairly close fight. If he fights Calzaghe now he gets beaten even stopped maybe.

I think Calzaghe out works him to a split deciosn ..Its still a good match up style wise I would prefer this fight more so than the Hopkins fight ..

Nah, remember what Glen Johnson did to him? Roy cant stand pressure and punch volume, he has to fight in bursts, he's not the same as what he was.

RJ should just hang 'em up, he's done enough to secure a good legacy.

First off Joe doesn't hit nearly as hard as Johnson and scond the only way he Ko's Jones in the same manner that Johnsons did is if Jones does exactly the same thing he did in that fight and that was not fight ..That KO came from Jones just laying in a shell and not doing **** for 9 rds ..The Jones of last night makes it a very compeive fight ..Its tough for me to say he would beat Joe only becuase Calzaghe would be the busier fighter ..

the jones of last night looked better than the jones v johnson because he was fighting a stiff rather than a live opponent.

Joe could never in his life knock out Roy. He does not even have the power to do so. He would have to smother Roy and just wail away b/c roy would show him who really has the hand speed in the middle of the ring. 70% Jones of 6 years ago whips this overhyped slappers ass.

yes, coming forward all night negates silly little things like not belonging at that weight, not having fought in over 2 years, you know, silly little things like that.

sure i'll take that bet, not sure what you're trying to prove with it though.

hat a silly post this, power is not everything in knocking out an opponent, how many people has calzaghe KOd by using his punch power, not alot, its about the high volume of constant punches an accumulation affect that could KO RJJ. at this point in their careers joe has just as good if not better hand speed than RJJ, and to say 70 per cent of him beats calzaghe is just stupid, if roy at any point of his career brought less than 100 percent against joe he could find himself losing.

CALZAGHE V RJJ must be on this september in the millenium stadium, 2 legends with their last fight of their career Joe calzaghe wins via UD 118 - 114

Right but there were allot of people around here who threw that logic out the window and thought Tito was going to win via KO as well ..So spare me all that bs ...Becuase after the fact it doesn't change **** ..I couldn't make that bet with you now becuase of sights like boxing rec ..If Jones manages to secure a fight w/ a Woods ,Hopkins or Calzaghe we can revisit a bet then ..
